Shipbuilding plate is ordered against classification society rules as well as mill specifications. When you name a grade, it helps to tie it to the society certificate you need on the mill sheet.
General strength hull steel
Grades such as A, B, D, and E are widely used for general hull structures. Higher grades in the same family address low-temperature toughness requirements.
Higher strength options
AH32, DH32, EH32 and AH36, DH36, EH36 appear frequently in newbuild and repair projects. State the society (ABS, LR, BV, DNV, CCS, etc.) in your inquiry.
We supply and export shipbuilding plate from Chinese mills; tell us thickness range and piece weight so we can confirm rolling limits and delivery options.
